Holly Miranda arrived in New York 10 years ago from Nashville by way of Detroit.  Her band The Jealous Girlfriends released 2 albums and toured the US several times over, but her true ambition all along was to make a record under her own name.  After writing and demoing the songs, she began recording in earnest with her friend Dave Sitek at his Stay Gold studios in Brooklyn.  The "Sleep On Fire" ep features one song from these sessions entitled "Every Time I Go To Sleep" as well as a few other songs that Holly recorded with nothing more than a microphone, guitar, and garageband. Her debut solo album will be out on XL Recordings in early 2010.  Meanwhile, she released the "Sleep On Fire" EP earlier this summer as something to sell at shows and through her website.
