Scout Niblett Announces New Album On too pure 09 Aug 2007

Scout Niblett returns with her fourth full-length album, This Fool Can Die Now, out on too pure October 9th.

Recorded at Electrical Audio with Steve Albini, the album features a rhythm section of Kristian Goddard and Chris Saligoe, while Will Oldham (aka Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy) contributes vocals on the album's four duets, two of which are covers. On the first track “Do You Wanna Be Buried With My People” Scout’s mournful pleas glide alongside Will Oldham’s emotive vocals. The skeletal “Moon Lake”, a signature scout drums and vocals song, sits alongside the vocal harmonies From the impassioned voice of “Baby Emma” and the plaintive cries of “Nevada” to the guitar-driven indignation of “Let Thine Heart Be Warmed” and “Your Last Chariot”, This Fool Can Die Now is a body of 14 songs that traverse a spectrum of charged emotions from yearning and grief to resignation and acceptance.

A full US headlining tour will be announced for October and November.
