It’s been seven years since Mark Lanegan last released a solo album – the critically acclaimed sixth effort Bubblegum, released by Beggars Banquet. Since that time, he’s actually been one of the busiest guys in rock and roll. Mark has released seven albums – just none of them were solo. There have been three Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan records, two Gutter Twins albums (his collaboration with Greg Dulli), and two Soulsavers albums. In addition, he has done numerous tours in support of those albums, and many dates with other friends including Queens Of The Stone Age, whom he had a long collaboration with.

Going even further back, Mark is a founding member of Screaming Trees, one of the bands that helped define the Seattle grunge scene. Their 1992 album Sweet Oblivion featured the giant hit “Nearly Lost You”. Mark’s first solo record, The Winding Sheet was released in 1990. It was followed by Whiskey for the Holy Ghost in 1994, 1998's Scraps At Midnight, 1999's I'll Take Care of You, Field Songs in 2001, and Bubblegum in 2004.

Mark recently unveiled a brand new song, titled “Burning Jacob’s Ladder” which is featured in a video game called Rage, out this Fall.

These West Coast shows will feature Mark backed by guitarist Jeff Fielder, and he will be performing songs from his back catalog. Mark is working on a new full-length solo album, which will be released by 4AD, a sister-label to the now retired Beggars Banquet.
