It’s been over a year since the release of CALLA’s Beggars Banquet debut, Collisions, and after touring extensively in support of the album, CALLA (based in New York City and Austin respectively) have returned with a brand new album that encompasses their signature experimental, raw sound. This new album, Strength In Numbers, was written and recorded while on tour abroad and in their hometowns, where they had a chance to focus on their collections of field recordings.

CALLA (comprised of Aurelio Valle on vocals and guitar, Wayne Magruder on drums, and Peter Gannon on bass) have continued to intrigue and satisfy their loyal fan base, while influencing a larger audience with each new album. They’ve created their own unique identity, and at the same time have been compared to Nick Cave and Low.

They are playing a handful of dates prior to the release of their album in February, and plans for a full US tour coinciding with SXSW are in the works.
