Under most cirucmstances we’d advise you not to read someone else’s diary. It’s rude, right? Well screw social decorum this time around, read away, laugh and then read some more. Andy Falkous, singer/guitarist for Future of the Left, has decided to share his thoughts while on tour in the US and as could be expected his observations and rantings are nothing short of pure genius. Below read a couple of gems from each day that Andy has posted an entry. Be sure to check out the link below for regular Andy postings from the road and remember that Future of the Left are currently on tour in the States with Ted Leo and Against Me through Oct 28th.

Sept 28th: "Two hours, a pair of broken glasses and a sexy incident with a London underground official later, I’m stood at the check-in desk at Heathrow Terminal five, fragrant in yesterdays clothes and unbelievably, getting away with excess luggage again. The credit crunch has not extended to British Airways, it would seem – they’re fucking giving it away."
Sept 29th: "Having decided to spend the entire tour sounding like Jeremy Irons I have a great time with the motel receptionist, despite looking like a hairy cross between species, as the simple task of asking for directions to the bathroom (when … in Rome) becomes a colourful exchange between two vastly different people…"
Sept 30th: "Fuck. I’ve woken up a hippy."
Oct 1st: "if you’ve travelled to see us don’t tell me before the show – it’s far too much pressure. Save it for the (dark) rum you buy for me afterwards…"
Oct 2nd: "Hilton Head, South Carolina, a place so uninhibited by serious rock action that the venue wall proudly displays concerts by a variety of prominent acts including Bullet For My Valentine and The Spin Doctors, two bands who bookend the recent, unfortunate history of mainstream rock music like towering plinths of purest shite."
