The xx live acoustic session today on KSSU, 6PM EST / 3PM PST

November 24th, 2009 by Hector

The xx - xx

Don’t you just love that cover art? So striking.

Anyway, tune in to kssu.com today at 6PM EST / 3PM PST / some other time depending on where you are in this crazy, mixed-up world of ours, to hear a special live, acoustic set by The xx as the prepare to conquer Sacramento State University with Friendly Fires tonight. Not only will you get to hear something unique from your friends in The xx, you’ll also be supporting the college radio station with arguably the coolest logo in the country:

Sparky

If you’re one of the unlucky souls who have yet to experience The xx, might I suggest you take a trip to our webstore to remedy that?

Camera Obscura kick off their Fall US tour tonight in New Orleans (and tickets are still available for the lollygaggers among you), and are paying a visit beforehand to WTUL for an interview and a short acoustic set at 3PM EST / 2PM CST. Denizens of the Big Easy can tune their boxes to 91.5FM to listen, while the rest of us check out the stream at wtulneworleans.com.

Camera Obscura just released their new Christmas single, “The Blizzard,” which can be purchased (along with this year’s fabulous 4AD debut My Maudlin Career) hereabouts.
