Glosoli: Interpretive Dance-style

November 26th, 2008 by Adam F

Classic moment from Bonnaroo.  Amidst the guatemalan pant army and a hackey sack circle away from the eco-post office, Jonsi heard one of his songs being played over a PA and was drawn to this like mosquito to a bug light.  You gotta love art sometimes.  Full manager re-cap and photos from the day are up on the Dót blog.

November 26th, 2008 by Adam F

Sorry if this here blog seems to be jacked by Vampire Weekend, but this performance is priceless.  Peep P-Thugg on the talk box — he’s been reppin’ since way before 808s or Heartbreak.

Catch Emiliana Torrini on World Cafe tomorrow, 11/18

November 17th, 2008 by Jeremy G

The lovely Emiliana Torrini will be performing tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18, on World Cafe. Listen from 2PM EST on http://xpn.org/listen-live/listen-live or 88.5FM in the Philadelphia area.

Here’s what you can expect, per World Cafe:

Icelandic singer-songwriter Emiliana Torrini joins David for music and conversation drawn from her new album Me And Armini. In this interview, she recalls her musical beginnings growing up in Iceland with minimal exposure to pop music. This fresh perspective allowed her to create her own style with an improvisational songwriting approach.

This Just In: General Manager Using Words Like “Chuffed”, Considering Changing Name To Nigel

November 14th, 2008 by Adam F

It’s been a long week here at the office, although interestingly enough, the work days have been shorter (ahem – I don’t wanna tattle, but cable doesn’t take two days to install, Gabe…).

And all of this because our fearless leader has spent the entire week interrogating our British co-workers, boating on the Thames with Damon Albarn and posting about how shitty Glasvegas is on the Drowned In Sound message board.

If this photo is any evidence, Matt Harmon might even have his eyes set on Parliament.  If anyone from Alma Road has any personally missives, please email me for immediate posting.
